Okay, don’t start hating on my smoothie just because the photo isn’t pretty. It looks that way for a reason. You see, I just dragged my tired, raggedy butt out of bed after staying out way too late with friends and probably drinking an extra beer or two I didn’t need. I’m not feeling that great – yet.
I trudge toward the kitchen knowing relief is in sight. I pull the berries out of the freezer, the milk out of the fridge and the protein powder out of the cupboard. I always leave the chia seeds sitting on the counter next to the Nutri Bullet (probably my favorite appliance) so I never forget to add them. I cram everything in, run it for 30 seconds, and voila! My hangover cure in a cup.
As the nutrients have yet to make their way to my brain, I’m too tired and cranky to stage a pretty little photo for y’all. It’s simply a picture of a glass with purple goop in it. Don’t judge a book by it’s cover. Just try making this breakfast-in-a-glass. It’s a thing of beauty. You won’t regret it.
I’ll feel better in about 15 minutes. Until then, shut up and stay out of my way.
