Antibiotics can’t cure a cold or flu because those are caused by viruses – and antibiotics can only treat infections or illnesses caused by bacteria.
The over-prescribing of antibiotics is not only leading toward a crisis where they are becoming increasingly ineffective, but they can also cause serious damage to your health – including obesity, diabetes, heart disease, depression and autism.
