Whether you just came home from the gym or a long night out on the town, try this light and refreshing smoothie to rehydrate. It’s easy to throw together – just give everything a rough chop to help out the blender and let her spin until everything is liquefied. Store any extra in a tightly sealed jar in the fridge for up to 2 days, shake well and slug it down.
Ingredients (makes two 1½ -cup servings)
1 cup diced Granny Smith apple (about ½ medium-sized apple)
1 cup diced seedless cucumber (about ½ English cucumber)
1 cup diced honey dew or casaba melon (about ¼ medium-sized melon)
½ cup coconut water (or regular water)
¼ cup fresh lime juice
1 cup yogurt
2 teaspoons finely grated ginger
1 tablespoon hemp seed
½ tablespoon agave nectar or honey
Directions
Place all ingredients in a high-speed blender and mix for 1 – 2 minutes until completely smooth. Serve immediately.
